Better Slack integration

While we believe that in most cases, asynchronous communication is the more effective way to exchange information, group chat apps like Slack continue to play an important role in the workflow of many teams.

We released the initial integration between Nuclino and Slack back in 2018 – now, by popular demand, we have given it a big upgrade, allowing you to:

  • Search all your content in Nuclino directly from Slack using the /nuclino search [query] slash command.

  • Add a new Nuclino item without leaving Slack using the command /nuclino create [item title] or the shortcut Create an item. You can also easily convert a Slack message into an item through message shortcuts.

To get access to these new features, please disable and re-enable the Slack integration in your Nuclino team settings.

Text highlighting

Nuclino was designed around the idea that less is more – in particular, when it comes to formatting options. The editor of Nuclino has remained simple and functional over the years, with only the essential features you need to communicate your ideas in a clear and structured way. Based on your feedback, it was clear that highlighting important information falls into that category.

Pro tip: Use the Ctrl/Cmd + Alt + H shortcut or Markdown ==text== to quickly highlight text without taking your hands off the keyboard!

Starred workspaces

Workspaces provide a great way to keep all of your knowledge, docs, and projects organized. Some of them you may be using daily, others – only every few months. Now, you can star the workspaces you use the most to keep them easily accessible.

Other small but impactful changes

It's often the details that define the entire experience. Here are some of the small but mighty improvements we've released since our last update:

  • Mistakes happen – but now you can undo them more easily. In addition to the Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y shortcuts, you can now use the Undo and Redo buttons in the item menu.

  • Got a notification? Now you can open it in a new tab without having to go back and forth.

  • You can now use the Solidity and Dart syntax highlighting in code blocks.

  • The SSO setup has been optimized to be more straightforward and intuitive.

  • Behind the scenes, we have made our backend systems more scalable and resilient to help us accommodate our continuous growth.
