Nuclino is now available as an app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It's been a great preview phase and we'd like to thank everyone who participated and sent us feedback 💖 We're super happy to release this app to everyone as it's been one of the most requested updates for Nuclino.
Download the app at https://www.nuclino.com/download and let us know what you think!
Seamless integration with your operating system
There is nothing wrong with using Nuclino in a browser, but many users prefer to use it inside its own window instead of yet another browser tab.
Depending on your operating system, window manager, and preference, this can make Nuclino easier to access. For example, you can use a hotkey like Alt/Cmd + TAB to switch to Nuclino.
Desktop notifications
If you have enabled desktop notifications (Profile → Desktop notifications), they now show up in the notification center of your operating system. This helps you keep an eye on your notifications in one centralized place.
Faster and easier access
Quickly start and access Nuclino using the start menu or the task bar (Windows), Spotlight or the dock (macOS), or your desktop (Windows/macOS/Linux).
Better hotkeys
In the browser, several hotkeys can and should not be overwritten by web applications. For example, pressing Ctrl/Cmd + N should always create a new browser window. In the Nuclino desktop app, the same hotkey will create a new item, allowing you to work faster.
If you've previously requested and installed the desktop app preview, you will either be prompted for an upgrade or you will need to manually download the app here and reinstall it.
To check if you have the current version, open the desktop app, click on "Help" in the title bar (Windows/Linux) or menu bar (macOS), and make sure the version is at least 1.0.0.
After you have upgraded to the newest version, you will be notified about new releases from within the app and can upgrade directly.
